If I was Ben I would never feel comfortable joking with her in the future, and although I would stay on friendly terms, I would never be able relax in her company.

I agree in a lot of ways. I am no fan of SS either tbh.
SS's issues though have nothing to do with Ben choosing to betray her after leading her to belive he was her ally and friend.
