It IS art, no matter how you sugar coat it, it's art. Damien Hurst sliced a cow into two equal halves, pickled it and made millions of £ and won The Turner Prize, basically like the Oscar's of the art community.
The way art has moved on now, it's more and more becoming solely based on conceptual art and the issues/meanings behind pieces rather than things 'looking good'.
I say good on her, I think it's clever on her part knowing that the main thing people pick up on with her other than her music is her fashion sense and as she said "it's got people talking".
Anyway, I'm against vegetarianism so the fact they're complaining doesn't bother me as it seems they always feel the need to showcase their opinions to no avail. |
Or course it's art but then so is anything. Art is a subjective relative. Just because something is art does not automatically qualify it for merit.
It's just a crude publicity stunt. A snapshot of her entire career save for the decent pop tunes. Sure she might apply some half baked 'issue' to it later in interviews but it's basically a publicity stunt. Nothing more. Something to get the idiots who buy into it talking.
