Yeah ***** seems to have been elevated above the other swear words in terms of severity for some reason.
A couple of years ago at school a teahcer heard me jokingly call somebody one and I got into all sorts of trouble which wouldnt have happened with pr*ck,w*nker etc. She said it was only the second time she'd heard the word used in 10 years of teaching
