Because there's one main difference between the two:
One is a
joke. The other isn't. If I encountered someone
seriously mocking someone who, for example, had lost a child to their face - then I would not condone that. But
jokes are
jokes - and not meant to be taken seriously. And I have no reason to believe that any of the insults thrown at Katie are 'just a joke'...
