Correct me if I'm wrong though but wasn't 2003 the beginning of the whole 'Gangster' era for the show?
That lasted up to 2006 when it climaxed with the almighty 'Get Johnny Week!' which I remember loving.
2008 [which you also said was crap] wasn't too bad either, with Mad May returning and dieing, and of course Jase's death which remains the most upsetting to watch in the history of the show.
I just find it alot better to watch Phil and Grant in their glory days - Johnny Allen, Jack Dalton, Dennis Rickman, Jake and Danny Moon at war constantly whilst Ruby Allen is in every episode
than to watch fat Zainab complain about how the square will hate her, or watching Tamwar try to string a sentence together or the dull Masood and Yusef fued that had potential to be amazing but failed.
