I suppose it's the same issue how The UK X Factor winner gets a £1m recording contract whereas the US X Factor winner gets a $5m recording contract and a pepsi commercial. I don't really know what to say. It might be unfair but that's the way it is.

Yeah, that's one of the main points i was making, was regardless of whether you felt the money was truly "earned", the additional prize money can only make the show more exciting, with the additional hype & buzz.
