That's a lot of money, yes, and i'm sure both the viewers in the UK and the UK contestants would much prefer that amount because it would make things a lot more exciting. If we'd always had that much given to the winner here and suddenly now the winner only got £50,000 then i'd be annoyed, but that's not the case, so i'm not really bothered to be honest.

I suppose it's the same issue how The UK X Factor winner gets a £1m recording contract whereas the US X Factor winner gets a $5m recording contract and a pepsi commercial. I don't really know what to say. It might be unfair but that's the way it is.
