And it'd say it's pretty accurate to thing that most Christians believe that the church is the way to god and that it isn't a personal thing but rather something that has to be ritualistic etc, and that they probably haven't considered that you can get to god and Jesus by yourself should you try.
He's trying to point that out, as am I. I'm fully aware that church can be anywhere, but I'm not talking about the building I'm about the organisation and ritualistic 'church' that Christians (like myself) are supposed to follow.
Christianity isn't a cult. It doesn't force members to remain in their church or brainwash them or anything like that. Don't be ridiculous.
