I don't think he was really that famous or well known in the UK. People might recognise his face but I doubt most people in the UK really would be able to identify him before this show. He's not exactly an oscar winning actor. He's more like the guy you seen in some films and you need to ask someone his name.

He's still at the highest level of celebrity that BB could actually get to go on the show. He is pretty famous and has been in some brilliant films
