I don't think it's true that Muslims don't condemn extremism, it seems to be a bit of a misconception, or maybe the problem is they just don't get featured enough. Take a look at this site for instance, containing dozens and dozens of statements by variousm Muslims and Islamic organisations condemning terror attacks
