I think she's actually really insecure, she says anything behind people's backs as long as she's getting the approval of those around her but whenever she actually goes anywhere near confrontation or having it out face to face she just gets really awkward; like when Benedict was ripping into her and just now with the nominations she suddenly got really uncomfortable and embarrassed
