as regards the fact men work long longer and achieve more in a vast number of career paths, there are a lot of reasons, sadly this hasnt been studied properly because the analysis has been hujacked by the hysteria of the millitant feminists. straight honest truth and facts need to be addressed.
the fact is the overall male wage is higher than women over the whole nation because overall men have worked longer and harder in far more career areas. the solution according to feminists is to denigrade all men for this. wrong. the only solution is for women to become better and to work harder and yes to try and allow them an opportunity to share their paternal duties. this has been damaged as the family courts are so biased towards mothers, they in effect close out fathers. the end result, everyone loses, the fathers, the children, the grandparents and the mother herself....this is the problem that grows when the culture and the law is biased towards one sex. the law must be fair , balanced and blind to gender

I cannot post links as you know,
firstly, there was a government initiative announced recently, with I think it was 2mill of funding to aid men at risk of suicide.
Theres a thread mentioning it somewhere...I even think you commented in it.
secondly, I do agree with positive discrimination for men in primary schools, as annie touched on, there were news reports that in certain areas it was found that men were under represented.
Boys need positive role models and men were encouraged to teach at primary level.
What is putting men off..... accusations of abuse maybe?
Thirdly, What 'studies' were hijacked?...
If the outcome of a study is not attractive to you to suggest it is biased is wrong.
If two men applied for the same position, same hours, same duties and responsibilities you would expect them to be paid equally?
Why you have a hard time accepting women are as capable as men I have no idea, of course there are sectors that men are disproportionate to women and visa-versa.
lastly, I would say there does need to be an overhaul of the family courts.
When couples who are unmarried split it is very difficult for the dad to get access and this is wrong.
They emphasis is placed on getting money from the father rather maintaining contact with the children.
Unless there is a domestic violence issue then contact should be the main concern.
