firstly, there was a government initiative announced recently, with I think it was 2mill of funding to aid men at risk of suicide. Theres a thread mentioning it somewhere...I even think you commented in it. secondly, I do agree with positive discrimination for men in primary schools, as annie touched on, there were news reports that in certain areas it was found that men were under represented. Boys need positive role models and men were encouraged to teach at primary level. What is putting men off..... accusations of abuse maybe? Thirdly, What 'studies' were hijacked?... If the outcome of a study is not attractive to you to suggest it is biased is wrong. If two men applied for the same position, same hours, same duties and responsibilities you would expect them to be paid equally? Why you have a hard time accepting women are as capable as men I have no idea, of course there are sectors that men are disproportionate to women and visa-versa. lastly, I would say there does need to be an overhaul of the family courts. When couples who are unmarried split it is very difficult for the dad to get access and this is wrong. They emphasis is placed on getting money from the father rather maintaining contact with the children. Unless there is a domestic violence issue then contact should be the main concern.
