Default Tonight's launch will be far from a ratings winner.

Before I begin - just building on something someone else said in another thread regarding the advertising for last night's show;

The adverts did not highlight the 'Live Launch' of Big Brother - it was simply about Secrets and Lies, my Dad today actually told me he thought it was a documentary or a special spin off for BB when he seen it advertised.

I can only assume some other 'casual' viewers thought this too, so there's a contributing factor for last night's horrible ratings.

On to tonight though - it doesn't get much better, on TV Guides across Sky and Virgin etc they should have tonight's show down as:

'Big Brother: Live Launch Part Two'

Because, the way it looks now - people may flicker past it thinking it's a repeat of last night's show, I know that sounds silly to us but we have to take into consideration what 'normal viewers' think - who aren't glued to these forums.

Also on a similar topic, does anyone else genuinely feel sorry for Channel 5?

I mean yeah I know it's their own fault for not advertising - and if I ever get a chance to go on BOTS this Summer, I'll be making that point clear to them, that they should focus on the main series rather than blowing all their promotional budget on members from So Solid Crew twice a year.

But, last night's launch was absolutely magnificent - I don't care what anyone says, it hit the spot. Alot of people on here have been calling me 'negative' the past few weeks.
I wasn't negative, I just wasn't getting my hopes up - and look what happened!

They blew me away, completely and Emma Willis is fantastic at this job, the effort they put into the house and changing the show this year is to be credited, and what do they get for it? Barely 2 Million viewers.

I bet at Elstree right now, there must be an overwhelming sense of rejection and general let down - that the great public would rather obsess over TOWIE and other useless nonsense, than the return of Big Brother.
