Yes could be seen as offensive but they were removing him for aggressive behaviour and I'm guessing that's why they quoted Hazel to let him know that she had also seen it as him being aggressive.
Don't see why matters either tbh way since the public watched Hazels diary room scenes anyway he could easily have watched when he got out.
