The BBC Breakfast host has edged ahead of Natalie Gumede who has led the field from the start, with the firm slashing Reid's odds and putting her at 13/8 to win.

The rush to place money on Reid - one of five celebrities still left in the ballroom dancing contest - comes despite her being at the bottom of the leader board after last week's performances.

"Almost 90% of bets placed in the last 24 hours have been for Susanna. Our customers are backing her as if she cannot lose," said Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.

the massive shed load of support suzanne is getting reminds me of that chris hollins who was also a breakfast show presenter and he won !!! SCD back in 2009 when that hollyoaks actor Ricky whittle should of won but he came 2nd instead and it annoyed me when he was a much better dancer but because this chris guy had a ridiculous huge fanbase he scooped the win!!

i already knew about the betting odds and it doesn't mean anything because yes i do agree she could win but Abbey has alot of fans too and even sophie is popular too and the voting always changes so one minuit there might be a rush of votes and the next it might dip drastically the public is strange like that

and they're just guessing anyway with the bookmakers because they thought Natalie would win and now they're saying she will probably get 2nd place but i dont even think Natalie will get 2nd place because her support from the public seems to have gone which is ashame when she should win
