There was a teacher at my secondary school who was bullied by students year in year out because he got the 'rep' to be bullied and it was passed down to the new generation. He had a nickname and his classes were always made troublesome for him.
If I remember correctly he found out his wife was in a car accident one class, started crying and people laughed. Horrible.
Sad reality is he was a nice guy. But he did eventually leave whilst I was still at the school.
