Trouble is this minority of fans consider remembrance displays to be a tacit justification of all British military action, and a lot of these feel a close affinity with victims of the Troubles. Yeah they're a Scottish club but with Irish roots that some fans feel quite strongly about
It's like James McClean who refused to wear the poppy playing for Wigan because he said "for me to wear a poppy would be as much a gesture of disrespect for the innocent people who lost their lives in the Troubles – and Bloody Sunday especially - as I have in the past been accused of disrespecting the victims of WWI and WWII". Though in his case it was him acting on his personal conscious, these Celtic fans were unnecessarily and aggressively disrespectful
