To me, in this example alone, it is 1000% evidently clear that Marc started the argument, and to me, it's so obvious that it is not even debatable so I won't reply to any more excuses for Marc you have ready and lined up.

Saying "you better not be talking about me" implies there will be consequences for doing so. It is a threat. And marc is allowed to talk about her if he wants and it just goes to show how much marc is bullied when they try and tell him what he can talk about.
