Couldn't agree more.
Charities are getting worse with their cold calling or canvassing in the street in the town center or knocking on my door.......i just want to shout **** off and leave me alone
The worst one was water aid ringing and asking me to up my donation, i said politely that i couldn't and i actually give to various other charities....my children then went on to be noisy in the background, this prompted the caller to say...."did you know that children often have to walk miles for water, even during the night, many children are raped or murdered as they make this journey.....how would you feel if that was your children...?"
Well the expletives that left my mouth would have made a navvy proud, i don't think he was expecting me to react like this, i told him if he carried on i would be cancelling my direct debit, and then he could be held responsible for people not getting water
I asked to be removed from the database and told him i'd hold him personally responsible if he didn't.......safe to say i've not received another phone call from them and that was 2 years ago
