McDonald's Shoot Down Burger King's Proposal To Create A 'McWhopper'
Burger King and McDonald’s have long fought for the crown of the high street’s favourite fast-food burger restaurant.
Yesterday we heard Burger King wanted to extend a greasy hand to McDonald’s in an attempt to make peace before International Peace Day on September 21. How, you ask? Well, by creating a monster burger called the McWhopper. Do you get it?
They decided to make the proposal rather publicly in an attempt to get McDonald’s attention with this promotional video.
They wanted the McWhopper to be available at a special pop-up store in Atlanta, exactly halfway between Burger King HQ in Miami and McDonald’s HQ in Chicago.
Unfortunately for fast food fans everywhere, Burger King’s proposal has been shot down by McDonald’s in a particularly unamused and dismissive Facebook post…
