Sounds to me like this was a ridiculous idea that went horribly wrong. There is no accounting for stupid, but because real or permanent harm wasn't her intention, I don't think she should be going to jail.

..do you have a link for more of the story, DR..?..if that's true then that was never really any type of 'healthy' relationship in the first place...to say that you both feel strongly about cheating and if either did, the there would be no second chances etc is one thing but to agree to brand each other..wow..and then for him in full knowledge of that, to go ahead and cheat, well ok but rather than ensure he wasn't branded as agreed, he more or less just said, yeah there you go then, here it is and get those tongs.../a bizarre couple indeed ..although it's easier to understand the suspended sentence more, I still do though have a little niggle about it...I mean, if they had agreed for instance to disfigure each other facially with a chemical, which is something brought up earlier in the thread...and then he had stood there while she did that/both went through with it and he was facially scarred/disfigured for life..would the sentencing still have been the same..hmmmm.../a very strange couple indeed....
