Agreed - It's like a child who's been caught doing something. They cry because they've been caught.
Notice, as soon as he was talking to James afterwards, he started, in a passive way at first, to try to argue his point again.
Believe me, if the series went for another week, we'd see his head of steam build up again. He's a dangerous abuser waiting to find a victim.
