He sure changed his tune after he came out of the diary room. He was so full of hate, and then suddenly he's crying. Not saying its not genuine, but the turnaround was quick.

There is alot of fake in that house Vanessa but Austin deserves an Oscar if his tears were not genuine

He should have got a warning ...IMHO I thought the tears were fake as hell, I don't buy that he's the least bit sorry.

Warning or not his actions on leaving the DR where I think genuine but the redemption is too little too late and later on when calm he still returned to the real issue James had nominated him.
Throughout this show its always been Austin and Jenna who have made the big deal about anyone who has dared to nominate them.I think most viewers can see this and are fed up with it. I think what will hurt him even more than not winning is the probable negative crowd reaction he will receive when evicted. |

James saying 'you're a good boy' when bobby was calming him down shows he's only placating Austin because he pities him.

people like austin need to be constantly told that he's a good boy - he needs the attention - if he doesn't get it....well you saw last nights programme. Whether james likes him or not, whether james is playing a game or not - there is no excuse for what that lump of a bully did to a woman twice his age last night.

TBH I'm a little shocked that so many people are more complacent about what was said to Janice. I think Austin should have received a warning.

Tears after behaving badly are the actions of a child. Austin is not a child and shouldn't be treated as one. His behaviour was out of order, and it looks like its pretty standard for him. No need for a warning, just make sure he goes tonight

Agreed - It's like a child who's been caught doing something. They cry because they've been caught.
Notice, as soon as he was talking to James afterwards, he started, in a passive way at first, to try to argue his point again. Believe me, if the series went for another week, we'd see his head of steam build up again. He's a dangerous abuser waiting to find a victim. Leave poor lovely James alone!!!! |

He took the time to realise he had blown it, so turned the blame for his nastiness onto his dead brother and his Mam ,and it worked,he got cuddles and no doubt some public excusing his vile behaviour, he didn't fool me

He was no better than the likes of Helen Wood last night, a warning would have been deserved

I think he just realized what an utter prick he made himself look which was why he was eager to apologize once he left the DR.

I dislike condescending and patronising people, he may as well have patted him on the head like he was a dog, What Austin said to Janice was out of order.

The diary room segment was cut to shreds.
So we have no idea how long he took to calm down. Even so, shouting and name calling doesn't deserve a warning. |

No he got no warning and didn't warrant one either.
He has really been uptight for a while now since Chloe snubbed his Brothers mini memorial. Clearly he has issues around that and his attitude possibly changed after coming out of the diary room, because thanks to BB, he had been able to get some of the smouldering baggage out in the diary room as to his issues. I have seen many times where people have been really deep and smouldering and once they were able to explode and get some things said that were upsetting them or hurting them, were better for it. His tears were also far more genuine and real than anything seen from Chloe in the house all series too, and maybe, 'just maybe', he still has unresolved issues that need to be addressed properly as to the loss of his Brother. |

He didn't have access to water to splash on his face so those tears were definitely real. Common sense tbh

He has tried everything to get James on his side against Janice, cajoling arguing, name calling, obscenities, family shaming and down right nastiness but every time all he has done is drive James further away from being his friend.
Who wants a friend with Austins boundary pushing tendencies, no one is safe from his bitterness and abuse. Then it is all poor me, my feelings are hurt, never mind the 60 year old woman hiding under the bedclothes to get away from him. Seeing he couldn't get the reaction he wanted he them turned on James and then the whole group. Detestable cretinous man who is far worse than anyone he is blaming for hurting his precious feelings. No one has remarked about his family, his husband who he has been disloyal too by his attachment to James but hey, if you are disloyal to him, he shouts the walls down. |

It is a mystery to me and will remain so long after this series as to where James suddenly cared about Chloe or Janice to be honest.
He just cowardly, in my view, wanted to get out of saving Jenna or Farrah so used both Chloe and Janice to justify his actions as to that in the saving decisions they had to make. James for me ,I sadly say now, is not someone I would trust after that at all. |

I don't see why he should get a warning tbh. I mean obviously it wasn't nice what he said to her but don't BB encourage arguments and drama in there? It's not against the rules to argue with someone now is it?
