I understand what you are saying...

the same is true of bars that have regulars and prefer older demographic. If a bunch of young people dressed sexy showed up in their bar, they would be looked at strangely and treated like crap too.

Bars and clubs tend to have a "culture" in them. and if someone upsets that or tries to change it then they react. Just like gentrification....
