evil dick appealed to girl because most of his asshole moves where done because he was trying to protect his Daughter, and all girls like the idea of a dad that will protect them like that. So even though he was abusive to some of the women, most females watching him liked the way he was protecting his daughter.
The editing made it seem like he was always only being horrible to Jen because he wanted to protect his daughter, and make her love him. Women love that type of storyline.
