Yeah I actually met someone who I knew for a while from playing video games with online because he was traveling in the area. But I was also with 2 of my friends that also knew him about as much as I did. It was a one time thing and we just chilled for like a few hours. It was a pretty interesting experience though. I remember one of my friends was really sketched out that he was going to kill us or something but idk why.
I think it's just as likely that some random person on the street kills you than someone you become friends with online.
