Its kind of a known thing in the industry Niamh. My dads a consultant psychiatrist and I grew up with conversations around the dinner table about how peoples minds work or how depressed he was because everyone patient he's seen that week are less mental than he is! He has told me on numerous occasions that sociopaths, especially those going to medical school, have a keen fascination with the human mind and so often go into the mental health sector.
For the record, there are many high functioning sociopaths who go through life without any problems. They tend to have keen minds and climb to the top of their chosen career ladder because they simply don't have emotions to hold them back.
