If they do gain Independence it would be interesting to see just how popular they are after 10 years of being in charge which will ultimately mean being the bad guy and having to make the hard decisions that go along with running a country entirely. Westminster wouldn't be there to blame anymore.

I agree with this. I hope Scotland vote to remain, it will be interesting to see what she does next. She will probably demand number 3 claiming many regret their vote, were misinformed etc. The usual desperation tactics.
