Default Is nicola sturgeon a dictator?

In the space of two days she has went from saying "the will of the scottish people" to now saying "the will of the scottish government"

She said the latter 8 times in one interview at the weekend..

Doesnt a government do the willing of that countries peoples and a dictatorship do the willing of the person in power?

No she is just a good leader, she was elected with her manifesto with independence refererendum part of that, which was also backed by the Green party,so the Scottish people she is representing as to will.

Now she has requested from the UK govt same, that is doing the will of the people through the now agreed will of the Scottish govt.

The Westminster govt. rejecting those wills are the ones acting in a dictatorial fashion, not Sturgeon.

She seems to be heading that way since there doesn't seem to be a strong public feeling for a new referendum and she's pushing it anyway. The Scottish Nationalists have their own agenda. Though with this current call she playing politics so that she can later cry about how Westminster don't give her her way immediately so they are thwarting Scotland's will. They have been popular because people think they are looking out for them but I do think some have been duped. If they do gain Independence it would be interesting to see just how popular they are after 10 years of being in charge which will ultimately mean being the bad guy and having to make the hard decisions that go along with running a country entirely. Westminster wouldn't be there to blame anymore.

To answer the question, obviously she isn't a bloody dictator she doesn't even have a majority in Holyrood. If anyone is acting like a dictator it's Theresa May, given that she wanted to trigger a hard Brexit without any scrutiny from the uk parliament and despite not having a "uk wide agreement" as she promised.

She's a dic-something.She can't say "will of the Scottish people" anymore as she now knows that everyone else knows that the majority of the Scottish people don't want another indy ref.She was on shaky ground with that phrase.

the scottish have seen straight through in what sturgeon is trying to do, and many people in scotland know that the chance's of an indepentent scotland being part of the EU today, is very, very slim, it was different when the uk was part of the EU, but now we are not, and you can't have another indepentent referendum in just a space of 4 or 5 years, and the scottish parliament made the biggest blunder ever, because most people in scotland don't want another referendum at this time, and many there know that if an indepentent scotland was part of the eu again, there economy would be as bad as greece, and sturgeon would kill scotland with the euro, but what sturgeon is trying to do is that she is trying to stop england from leaving the EU, its a plan to get another eu referendum here in the uk to leave or stay, sturgeon is on the EU payroll, and she is a puppet to them, but she thinks that she is PM for scotland, but she is acting like a little dictator of scotland.

I believe the opposite. You can't have a 'will of the people' without a 'will of the Scottish Government'.

We have 'a will of the people' but lack the will of the British parliament and look at the mess that's causing. Neo-liberal Parliament have never had the will of the people so Brexit could well be the end to their style of dictatorial politics... we can but hope!

I agree with this. I hope Scotland vote to remain, it will be interesting to see what she does next. She will probably demand number 3 claiming many regret their vote, were misinformed etc. The usual desperation tactics.
