My husbands grandmother had 7 and didn't know until one burst...his mother has one now which causes her no trouble and shes refusing to have an operation on it (stupidly, as apparently it can be fatal sometimes if they burst )

If one burst though I would have thought it would take a fair while to sort out, especially if puking as much blood as he claimed.
