I sort of agree with that I think... Smith had what seemed like a full proper "story arc" that came to a conclusion where his journey was done... Tennant actually sort of "lingered on" a bit... But the Capaldoctor (and Missy) arc does feel a bit like it's been cut short? Not sure about another full season but at least a half season to wrap it up might have helped.
Why do they never do that, anyway? Why are regenerations always at the beginning/end of a season /Xmas special? It would be awesome if they just plonked one in unannounced in the middle of an episode
