It's true! I love the GoTG characters but... in vol 2... the villain is stupid and obvious, a lot of the jokes try way too hard or run too long, and it just doesn't have the character that the first film had. It's all a bit empty... like a "filler" episode of a TV show. I think it suffered by being so popular, and they made a better film first time round when they had no idea that it was going to be a hit.
The only really fun parts are Baby Groot (then they made me SAD by turning him into teenage groot in the post-credits), and "I'm Mary Poppins y'all!"  |
