The problem is the home office are treating potential visitors and people who are doing the right thing as illegal and in a hostile way. They are treated with extreme suspicion and hostility.

It's not about forcing their way into this country. We have to treat people with respect and with less suspicion when they are making applications.

For instance if someone applies for a visa and you tell them one of their documents needs to be dated this month instead of last month then they should be able to appeal with the updated document rather than having to pay for a new application where they will find some other trivial reason to say no. This is not the person who should be treated with suspicion.
