the only reason to wear a mask outside is if you are in amongst a group where social distancing is not possible or you are going in and out of indoor spaces where its more hassle to keep removing it

I don't think wearing them outdoors has ever really been a thing in the UK? Not that I've seen, anyway, other than people who are going to multiple places and it's a pain in the arse to keep taking it on and off.

In the US I feel like it's a bit of a political "badge" as much as anything though. If you're not wearing a mask, you might be mistaken for a Republican.

I only wear it outside when waiting in line or in a very crowded space. Also when going shopping because you take it on/off every 5 minutes and it's annoying. I don't mind the mask tbh, I bought some black ones to match perfectly with my beard

I normally only ever wear mine outside if I was using public transport or queueing outside a shop. I’d also put it on as I get out the car if I’m going to a shopping centre and it’s going to be fairly busy but if I was somewhere more open I wouldn’t wear it.
