Remember when Mario put Dave up for nomination in Save & Replace? He said this, 'I cant nominate JJ because he hasnt been here very long and hasnt had a crack at the whip.'

But then the next time he wins Save & Replace he puts Sam up who is a awesome housemate and he hasnt been there very long and he got put up for eviction.

You are very observant....pity you missed the bit where he explains that his initial method alienated his friends so he reverted back to picking a newbie.
