What has been your favourite adaption of Stephen King?

The Green Mile is pretty sad and The Shining is ****e.

Ive only seen them 4 I think... really need to see Misery and The Mist.

Never really thought about it but I need to see some of those films. I've only seen Shawshank and a bit of The Shining.

I agree with this actually, it was alright but not as good as some of his other films imo.

My out right favourite from that list is The Shawshank Redemption, I also voted Stand By Me, The Green Mile, Misery and IT.

I remember when I first watched Pet Cemetery and Salems Lot I was terrified lol but they weren't quite as scary as I remembered when I rewatched them years later

I'll give you that, but the last four were still better than most **** that has been written in the last couple of decades.

The Shining has a rubbish ending which is not in the book...even Misery with the ankle scene is far more graphic in the book....IT was a good movie (even though I hate clowns).

Salems Lot terrified me as a kid but I watched it again and it was horribly dated.

Shawshank and Green Mile stook to the books pretty well and were great films.

My favourite is Shawshank though and up to the end of The Shining....

Im amazed shawshank didnt get 100% of the votes, its the most moving film Ive ever seen, probably the best too

I still prefer Misery, Stand By me and Carrie over that, but it is great book and film.
