Default Mobile Phones Everywhere!!

Every time I'm out and about now all I see is people engrossed in their mobile phones, crossing the road with the head down whilst staring at a phone, go into a restaurant and all around there is people sitting there staring at their phones and even in the cinema the first thing people do when they sit down is get out their phone.

And the worst one is when you are talking to someone and they get a text and stop mid conversation to reply to it, I find that extremely ignorant, fair enough if you need to check in case of emergencies and stuff like that but that's not the case a lot of the time, some people completely zone right in on their phones and are oblivious to everything round about them.

It goes on and on tbh...

I have posted a thread similar to this in SD a while back but not just about mobiles it was about technology in general, so what are peoples opinions on how dependent some have become on mobiles?
