I have an older half brother. We've never been especially close because he's 12 years older than me but he lived at home until I was like 10 I think and we've never had any arguments or anything, we're quite similar in a lot of ways but we haven't really spoken much since he fell out with my mum.

I have a 19 year old half brother. I am not very close with him at all, we have different mothers so I have never lived with him or anything like that.

Not really in the traditional sense.
My sister had a friend who pretty much lived at our house at weekends because her home life was difficult. When she turned 16, it all came to a head and my parents intervened and took her in. She's part of the family, She's very much a sister to us and a daughter to our parents. |

That's really kind of your parents Dean to take her in and make her part of the family, not many people would do the same!
