Molly was a decent entry, but obviously overtaken by Conchita with the beard gimmick. I think we could have won with Children of the Universe and maybe Blue. It's a shame we have no chance with this years entry IMO.

yeah I'm guessing Gina didn't win because everyone wasn't too enthusiastic about giving it to the same country twice in a row, annoying though bc who even remembers the winner
edit: yup thought she was 98, not 96

And I'm sure Gina was the year before Katrina? I was positive after Katrina we then came 2nd with Imaani?

Yeah I was correct. Gina G was the year before Katrina in 1996, Katrina was 1997 and Imaani was 1998 and lost to Dana International by 6 points.
