Helen must have done something really bad for Brian to break out.
Obviously it won't be edited that way tomorrow because of the Helen favouritism, but he wouldn't have just left for no reason. Did you see him when he first went in? He was ecstatic to be back in. So why would he leave?
I don't think he's overreacting, he's just being made to look like that because we're not allowed to see what Helen has done to make him feel that way.
