Default Prize Fund

Do you think it will stay around the same or do you think it should be lots more for the end (ish) show?

Who knows?

Im sure well hear somthing if it does change over the next few weeks leading up to the show.

I hope they make them work for it like in BB5 with Live Saturday Night Challenges, BB Is usually boring on Saturday but the Live Challenges could spice it up.

LMFAO

How would the Viewing Vigures go up by the ammount of money they win?

Alot of us dont care how much they win, no one cares what happens to the winners when they leave or what happens with the money.

No one is going to switch on the show if someone said 'Hey did you hear the winner of Big Brother gets a Million Pound this year!?'

Although BB5 was intresting because people watched the challenges to see if they failed epicly and lost alot of money or got to keep it because they had to work for it and thats what got viewing figures on a Saturday Night.

I know it's not the point of the show but it would be a great ending. I think it would make some difference if you knew the person would win a million pounds. Maybe not to hardcore bb fans. That kind of money could really make a difference to someones life.

meh

Tbh though it would stop them from walking out, like the major walk outs we had last year I remember C4 were actually thinking at one point the entire house were going to walk out completely because it was boring.

If 1 Million Quid was the prize, I bet they would all have game plans and would be trying to get rid of eachother to win it would be amazing.

Like Victor in BB5 he just had a game plan and didnt care if the public knew and everyone loved it.

Nowadays its 'Oh he has a gameplan to win ****!'

I see what you're saying mardibum.. more money could entice more competitive gameplay which in turn could bring in more viewers.

I agree more housemates would stay in the house if the prize is 1 MILLION POUNDS but BB won't be able to afford that or won't have that as the prize fund anyway because they are too tight.

Personally the prize money should start from 0 and they should work for it! Do a load of tasks.. etc

They should definitely have to earn it with tasks! Build up a fund that is totalled individually, if they win! That way all the woosy ones would have to get their finger out and brave the tasks, making it a lot more difficult for them to refuse to do the harder or less pleasant ones - especially some of those silly, soppy girls - if they wanted any chance of winning a sizeable amount of money!

Yeah it would also cause alot of arguments in the house because if they had to build it up over the weeks and someone fucked it up and lost them alot of money, the entire house would be so pissed at them and it would create devides and that.

You'd get..

*Claxon*
This is big brother, the task is now over.

Task Taker: Sorry guys I just couldnt do it
Fakes: Aw dont worry babe you tried your hardest.
The Reals: Yo bitch you just lost us over 5 Thousand Pound, you thick cow.

Woud love it.

They should raise it to 300k. People would be much more competitive.

I think the winner should get £100,000 and then runner up get's £10,000, I'd rather they spent more money on the series though than on the prize fund!

Agree with RRF, They should put more money into the House, Live Feed etc than giving money to the boring knob that the idiots will vote to win.

I think the prize fund needs to be changed. Some of the housemates actually deliberately try to leave the house just to get magazine deals which are worth more than staying in till the final... (well they used to be worth more anyway).

Basically what I'm saying is that all of the finalists should be given some money so there's some incentive for them to remain there till the final. I'd break the prize fund down to the following:

1st- £100,000
2nd- £40,000
3rd- £30,000
4th- £20,000
5th- £10,000

At least this way, the housemates are trying to reach the final and there's a real motivation.

Ive always thought the prize fund has been quite low compared to other reality shows, eg. in different countries they would win around 500,000-700,000 Euros.

And for being there for 4 months surviving many weeks, I reckon they should get around £200,000 for the last year, wont happen though.

IMO:
Winner- 200k
Runner up- 20k
3rd place- 10k

So being the winner will really be beneficial, and also being 2nd and 3rd. Too bad for the others lol.

OR.

Spending £10,000 on advertising on billboards, ITV, the house, new designs, meaning a £90,000 win but thats too low for the last series.
