If I were to call someone a ****, they'd take offence, but if I were called a Brit, Id be fine with that...

Secretly falling apart

It's not as much the term it's the fact that people started to call them it in a derogatory fashion so it became offensive.

Because "****" has no relation to people not from Pakistan and also has racist connotations whereas the word "Brit" doesn't.

Simple
calling someone a Brit is just shortening the name British calling someone a **** is also shortening but it was first coined as an insult, a slur and is meant to demean the individual. |

Why don't we call black people negroes or lesbians muff divers? Because they are considered offensive by anyone who hasn't lived under a rock their whole life.

^ Because they're obviously discriminatory whereas shortening the country name isn't.

***** call themselves *****. It's the way you say it, like if you go "oh, he's a ****" They're usually ok with it, but obviously if you shout "Fucking **** Bastard", they may get a tad offended lol

It's funny when anything to do with race or muslims are mentioned, if you have an opinion that may not agree totally with the masses, you're instantly hit with 'Racist' or 'BNP Nazi'

besides the fact that it's used in a derogatory way, alot of the time the people being called "*****" aren't even from Pakistan but are Indian so that is insulting them
