Does this not just illustrate what a farce the UK is? |

Cameron: "you mean there is another country above London?"
Cable: "No David you are pointing to Denmark, I mean Scotland" Cameron: "Come now Vince, you and I both know that Scotland is a myth, a story like the Mel Gibson film" Cable: "Bloody Hell Dave, it does exist and so does Ireland" Cameron: "Ok, Ok, I know there is a lot to learn but why do we have to visit there ghastly places, cant we get Cowell to go?" Cable: ""FFS Dave how many more times, Simon Cowell is NOT in the cabinet" and so on |

Last Thursday we voted in a British election. The Conservatives got the most seats and votes, it just so happened they did better in certain areas than others.
They are the British government. Accept it. I think its about time that Westminster started to get back a bit of power from Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. |

Nothing in excess

Devolution aside, I quite like the SNP's policies. I wish we could vote for them down here in England, lol.

It could be argued under Shetland UDAL law that the oil belongs to Shetland & Orkney since sovereignty was never legally handed over to Scotland in 1468
Under Udal law, outright ownership of land included the seabed - so if Shetland is still legally Scandinavian and Udal law has never been completely replaced, then the seabed around Shetland belongs to Shetland and not to Scotland. North sea oil around the Shetland basin therefore belongs to Shetland.

Do you really believe that? Is that why the 'English' government allocates funds to the Scottish Parliament. Quote:
