...that rather than this rather bland flower trail we're getting for the last series; they should've used older series' trails & eye flashes, as a nice nod to the other series and BB as a whole

Sure, they could have the new series' own identity being advertised, but in the really early stage of promotion like now, they shouldve used old eye flashes

Because you would jump from BB7s Gold Swirls to BB9s Dark and Red to BB8s Bright Colours and to BB10s 3D Eye Panning thing.

I didn't mean mixing them all together, yes that would be awful.

My idea was simply to flash the old eyes, jump some memories, different people will respond differently to different eyes. They would be exciting to see on TV again. They are all engaging and advertise the show just as well as some random flowers.

Your making the mistake of assuming everyone is a hardcore BB fan. Most ordinary people couldn't give a crap what eye you show them and probably would have great difficulty pinning a specific eye to a specific series. The average Joe is not going to go 'Ohh look Barbara! It's the Big Brother 3 eye from 2002, characterised by it's sunburst on green aesthetic ident!'.

Keep it all fresh and new. Best way to advertise.

The reason everyone thinks this is a **** idea is because well it is, and basically you want to replay the old trailers which include old eyes and stuff.

Which means it would confuse other viewers as to which ****ing series they were watching.

Also it ruins the excitment of a new Ad.

And why would C4 want to spend money airing old adverts.

Mixing them would probably be the best thing to do for ONE Trailer but like I said it wouldnt work so all in all.. fail.
