Christopher Nolan has confirmed that he will return to the director's chair for the new Batman movie.
Speaking to Empire, the filmmaker revealed that a third stint behind the camera for the superhero franchise is "becoming inevitable". He said: "I feel myself falling into it, I guess. And getting it all figured out and I'm pretty excited about what we're doing so... If I haven't announced it, I think that people probably all know at this point that I'm doing it." Nolan added that he is still working on the script for the Dark Knight follow-up with brother Jonathan Nolan. Michael Caine recently claimed that the new Batman movie will begin production next May.

I do hope so
 Apparently Joseph Gordon-Levitt was rumoured for The Riddler part, though obviously (given Nolan's current domination of both critique and box-office) loads want the role. Robin Williams is one who's spoken about it (I'd personally LOVE him as the Riddler; but I think the Riddler himself is too similar to the Joker).

I'm hoping it's not the Riddler in this one, like Shaun said he's a bit too similar to the Joker to have him as a villain straight after.
The problem with having a real world setting is that it limits the villains, you can't have the likes of Poison Ivy, Clayface, Mr Freeze, Killer Croc ETC because there aren't any super powers in this interpretation. So most of the villains are gonna be nutcases which is true to the characters but without superpowers they'll seem same-y. |
