Default Predujice against Muslims "Now Acceptable"

http://www.channel4.com/news/prejudi...lly-acceptable

Prejudice against Muslims has "passed the dinner table test" and is seen as socially acceptable in Britain, Baroness Warsi - the first Muslim woman in the Cabinet - will say.

Well she would say it but perhaps she should look at why first and keep her trap shut or open it when terrorists in the ridiculous name of Islam kill British people.

deal with the cause first

It's annoying how random Islamic nonsense like this always seems to pop in the news now and then Muslims love the limelight eh

I can see her point. It's not nice for the overwhelmingly large majority of Muslims who get branded as terrorists because of a stupid few that latch onto a ridiculous 'cause' that they don't understand, they just want to make a statement. I don't really approve of religion as a concept because I think it causes more problems than it solves, but it'd help if people could drop their prejudice and preconceived ideas...

That is a myth. Who are these people that supposedly brand them?

It might help if we saw a few more out in demonstrations against terrorists, or supporting this country instead of hiding away making ghettos and trying their level best to be not British

Making comments like "Muslims love the limelight" are exactly what I'm talking about - making sweeping statements that are lined with prejudice. I read your comments in the other thread, saying that Muslims "change areas", "make them dirty" and "have a lower standard of living than us" which, again, are prejudiced comments. Maybe that is your experience of Muslim people and I'm sorry that you feel that way, but what Baroness Warsi is saying is that the media are very flippant when discussing Muslims and help to perpetuate these negative connotations; causing people such as yourself to make statements like that without even questioning that they might be controversial and prejudiced.

I agree that Muslims need to help themselves firstly and foremostly; I have Muslim friends who have made every effort to integrate as best they can (that is to say, within the boundaries of their faith - e.g. making friends with non-Muslims but not drinking alcohol at social occasions, for example.)

I find Baroness Warsi the most patronising and condescending person if front line politics at the present time. While she may have a point in some instances there is as much vice versa too.

I think she does have a point, even if all Muslims arent necessarily branded terrorists, they are often tarred with the same brush. You often see headlines saying "Muslims want to ban Christmas" or something like that, the Daily Express is especially bad for it. And there is a bit of a "them and us" attitude among a lot of Brits towards Muslims I think.

Those comments I made are true. Because I live in a city with a very high population of Muslims and I live in a Muslim area. I've seen it happen through the years, they are by my own personal experience.
It's mostly every day life for people, as has been said before, the Muslim community needs to make an effort as well, it needs to work both ways. Why do we never hear about the Jews in the media yet they live a lot like Muslims in the way they segregate themselves, there must be something different within the Muslim community for it to happen. It's also a mix of over PC people giving Muslims privilegdes and changing things that they didn't even ask for.
Maybe she should just get to the root of it, the people who actually write these stories? Instead of making a big song and dance with a speech and probably ending up causing muslims more aggro.

Yourself and robo-twat arista are some of these people. Some of these views are so ignorant, seriously, open your eyes. You sound like a modern adaptation of a Nazi trying to say that muslims make an area dirty, or have a lower standard of living. Seriously, form some constructive opinions if your going to hold any at all.

Yes, but your branding them all as one and hold a unjustified and negative stereoype of them. Your also basically trying to blame any random problem upon Muslims - even the fact that where your live is dirty.

Nope, going by their supermarkets and various other establishments. I can only go by what I see, what is the point in me lying?

You seem the UAF type, who like to make arguments over nothing and actually cause loads of trouble yourself. You base your PC opinions on nothing, or bounce off my informed opinions and turn it upside down. It doesn't work with me...

Oh sorry, I didn't realise that trying to say all Muslims aren't dirty counted as being 'PC'. I just thought it was being, well, fair and unstereotypical. I think you need to research what 'PC' means if you think my views are held just to be politcally correct. Your views are not politically correct, yes, but they are also ignorant, stupid, unjustified and bigoted... I think you need to draw the difference.

You say you can 'only go by what I see' - you obviously don't see enough of the world, and what you do see obviously cannot be through very open eyes. Unless, of course, you live in stereotype city where Mohammed has a bomb in his turban and blows up the corner shop everytime he pops out to but the latest edition of the Quaran, nobody is employed as all the jobs are taken by 'them poles' and every religious figure nearby has 10 children locked in their closet.

You're changing what I said. And you use the old bring in more irrlevent points tactic. It's not about seeing more of the world or how I portray it, it's what happens. Why do I need to compare my own city with anywhere else whilst I'm living there, what is the point in that?

And what the hell is your last paragraph even about? lol Seems a little off topic and makes me think you don't really have much to say or a point to make.

Sorry, I can see how it may seem like I am doing an arista and going off topic. The last topic was me using humour to strengthen my point to highlight how ignorant you are being when you branded all muslims as dirty, and as having lower living standards than us. You were being stereotypical.

You argue that "It's not about seeing more of the world or how I portray it, it's what happens" - then I refer you to my early claims, you need to open your eyes. It is not what happens - at least, not on the majority case you make it out to be.

It's not stereotypical, it might just be in the areas I live in it happens who knows, but I doubt it is. That isn't being stereotypical it's going by personal experience. I'm not gonna go round every city just to see lol

And I said the areas are dirty not the people themselves.

I love the overuse of the nonchalant 'lol' and the 'the person who disagrees with me is just being PC' stuff you always use when someone dares question the fact that you might just be a *teeny* bit prejudice in your views towards Muslims.
