Lady Gaga has threatened the makers of a controversial breast milk ice cream with legal action.

The 'Born This Way' singer is apparently unhappy that the Icecreamists parlour in London's Covent Garden has called the frozen treat 'Baby Gaga'.

She wants the shop to stop selling the ice cream - despite the fact Westminster Council pulled it from the shelves over health fears last week.

Icecreamists owner Matt O'Connor told The Guardian that a letter from Lady Gaga's lawyers argued that his outlet has "ridden the coattails of her reputation".

"A global superstar has taken umbrage at what she describes as a 'nausea-inducing' product," he said.

"How can she possibly claim ownership of the word 'gaga', which since the dawn of time has been one of the first discernable phrases to come from a baby's mouth?"

O'Connor went on to make reference to Lady Gaga's previous food-based controversy, when she infamously wore a meat dress at last year's MTV Video Music Awards.

"This from a woman with a penchant for wearing rotting cows' flesh. At least our customers are still alive when they contribute to our 'art'," he said.

Sort of agree with this, but even if Madonna was pissed off, what can she do? You can hardly prove she's ripping her off, she can just argue back that she was inspired by Madonna, and that's all there is to say really.
