Why do you think that was said at the end of UBB? It was obviously Phil Edgar Jones' voice - the tit. But yeah I mean, they didn't know the show would be picked up for certain so why did they say that? It's like Channel 4 were thinking they'd pick it up in 10 Years time or something, do you think maybe it's because Endemol and Channel 5 were in talks at the time - which eventually did break down at one point, or do you think they just said it to give fans hope and stop Suicide or something?

Because they knew it would never be over. I even knew that. It was likely to make a return at some point just not many thought it would be this soon.

Big Brother is one of them shows that even though people say they hate, they end up watching it. I know people that absolutely hate the show, but I've caught them watching it before. It's one of them shows that you can't just NOT watch for a full series, people end up being inquisitive and end up watching it...basically being nosey and looking to see if they have missed out on something. The format was getting a bit tired on Channel 4, but the format itself will never get old providing it gets revamped every once in a while and it gets switched around slightly. I think he knew Big Brother would never die, I knew it wouldn't totally die. I knew it would come back whether it was in 2 years or 7 years... Big Brother is a Marmite format and nobody could see it go forever!

They knew there was no way that was it. During BB10, after the axe, Sky and Five were two channels that wanted to pick it up. So I guess they always knew.

I thought it was just random, I mean like, its common response that big brother usually gives to the housemates, atleast I think it is?

They always knew that it would return somehow, even I had faith in it returning. I either expected Channel 4 to change their mind and bring it back in a few years or for another channel to pick it up (that latter being what happened). Also, it would have been a bit of reassurance for fans, to let them know that they will be back.

I thought it was merely because it makes the show seem sinister and makes it seem as if Big Brother is still watching, whether on-air or not. It wouldn't have much todo with Channel 4, as they don't physically make the show. But remember the Bob Rightor song? "The other side"?
