Default Live launch is live. As in LIVE LIVE.
I asked Marcus Bentley on Twitter what was going on today and he said there's a massive rehearsal. I then asked if the launch is properly live or if it has a big delay like last year:

On a side note, I really like Marcus. I've sent about five tweets to him and hes answered every single one.

8&9 had "live launches" but wasn't it like 15mins delay? I hope it's properly live but I doubt it.

It won't be completely live. Will be delayed by between a couple of minutes to 15 minutes. It's just in case of anything happens they can quickly edit etc.
